Obituary

WEBSTER – Patricia R. (Suss) Savage, 75, of Webster, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her home after being stricken ill. Her husband of 49 years, Paul “Luke” Savage, died in 2005.

She leaves a daughter, Elizabeth M. Brothers and her husband Curtis N. Brothers of Dudley; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Brothers and his fiancée Heather Popiak, Katie Karter and her husband Benjamin, Jarrod Brothers, Alyson Brothers and her fiancé Justin Coda, and Patrick Brothers; 2 great grandsons, Jacob and Caleb Karter; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother Francis J. Suss, Jr. in 2004.

She was born in Webster, the daughter of Francis J. Suss, Sr. and Victoria (Smalarz) Suss, and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1954.

Mrs. Savage first worked at the Webster First Federal Credit Union. She then worked at Hometown Bank in Webster for several years, retiring as an executive vice president in 1998. In her retirement, she volunteered at Saint Louis Rectory on a weekly basis.

She was a member of Saint Louis Church and the Saint Louis League of Catholic Women. She had been on the Board of Directors of Hubbard Health Systems. She was
a member of the board of the VNA of Southern Worcester County. She was also a director for United Way, Inc.

A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, March 15, at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street (please meet at the church). Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. Memorial calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 14, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM in Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street. At her request, donations may be made to Saint Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570.
