Clarence Smith, Jr., age 74, of Broxton, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Coffee Regional Medical Center. Mr. Smith was born on December 18, 1937, in Douglas, GA to the late Clarence Smith, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Cross Smith. He was employed with Harvey’s Grocery Store for 58 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Jean Smith, of Broxton, GA; one son, Greg Smith, of Broxton, GA; three sisters, Mary Eloise Royals, of Douglas, GA, Audrey (Rodney) Byrd, of Douglas, GA, and Shirley Ring, of Douglas, GA; three brothers, Claude Eugene (JoAnn) Smith, of Blairsville, GA, Lowell Lester (Patricia) Smith, of Cordele, GA, and James Larry (Linda) Smith, of Douglas, GA; two grandchildren, Allen Smith and Cameron Smith. Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, March 9, 2012 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Broxton Baptist Church with Rev. Grady Gardener officiating. Interment followed at the City of Douglas Cemetery.
