Funeral services for Henry E. Morris, 101, of Ashburn, GA will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Morris died Thursday at his residence following a brief illness.
Mr. Morris was born in Milan, Ga, the son of the late Arthur Clark and Eula Van Brock Morris. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Amboy Baptist Church. He was the widower of the late Blonnie Elnita Hobby Morris.
Mr. Morris is survived by one son & daughter in law, Wayne & Linda Morris, Ashburn, GA; one daughter and son in law, Lynn & Randy Collins, Pitts, GA. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Troy Morris, Kelley Nelson, Melanie Faircloth and Spence Collins and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Julian Morris, Dawson, GA, Charles Morris, Tifton, GA, George Morris, Albany, GA, Elton Morris. Warwick, GA, and Clifford Morris, Gainesville, FL; his sisters, Anna Dunnagan, Gainesville, GA, Ozelle Banks, Jackson, GA and Janes Durham, Cordele, GA.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.
