Obituary

Methuen – Joseph Chamberland, Sr., 78, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Nevins Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Beliveau), to whom he was married for 54 years.

Born in Lawrence, Joe was the son of Joseph and Marie (Jabour) Chamberland. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a welder for Ryder Corporation in Burlington for many years until his retirement in 1999. In his free time, he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his wife.

In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by two sons Joseph Chamberland, Jr and Jason Chamberland both of Methuen, a daughter Nancy Moran of Dunedin, FL, three grandchildren William Moran and his wife Allison of Beverly, Michael Moran and his wife Katie of Salisbury, and Kelly Moran of Florida, a great granddaughter Grace Moran, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.

Friends will be warmly received on Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
