Shirley M. (Pezzano) Cormier, age 77, of Wareham, formerly of Brockton, died Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion. She was the wife for 55 years of Ronald E. Cormier, Sr. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas C. and Eva L. (Achilli) Pezzano. Shirley was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1952. She had been employed by Frank Middleton Real Estate for 24 years, retiring in 2004. Shirley enjoyed reading, time spent with family and friends and wintering in Deerfield Beach, FL for 23 years. She was a member of the Tobey Hospital Guild and Wareham Elks.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Craig Cormier and his wife Tracey of South Easton, Lori J. McSharry and her companion Paul Warsheski of Whitman and Jay Cormier and his wife Donna of Brockton; five grandchildren Shane, Samantha, Christopher and Patrick Cormier and Gina McSharry; a sister Mary Reagan and her husband Richard of Brockton, a daughter in law Karen Cormier of West Bridgewater and sisters in law Ethel May Grande of Florida and Lucille Stetson of Avon. Shirley was the mother of the late Ronald E. Cormier, Jr.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 5-8pm. The Funeral Procession will form at the funeral home Saturday at 9am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10am. Burial Monday, March 12, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 12:30pm.
