Loucia (Chito) Christos, 88, of 85 Klebart Ave., passed away, Monday, March 5, 2012 in U.Mass-Memorial Hospital,University Campus,Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 60 years, Charles M. Christos, two daughters; Evelyn C. Pappas and her husband Sam ,and Dhimitra H. Adamopoulos and her husband Angelo all of Webster. She also leaves five grandchildren; Stephen, Chuck,Jimmy, Nicholas, and Loucia and four great grandchildren: Michael, Spiro, Lex and Stella.
Loucia was born in Albania, daughter of Dimitrios and Evelyn (Hallos) Chito and came to the United States December 15,1949.
She and her husband were married March 11, 1951.
Mrs. Christos was a member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church and was an active member of the
Greek Ladies Philoptocos Society. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Loucia enjoyed crocheting and knitting and making doilies, she also liked baking, especially Greek Pita and baklava.
Mrs. Christos and her husband enjoyed spending winters in Florida and did this for over 20 years together.
She also enjoyed watching soap operas on television.
The Funeral will be Saturday, March 10, 2012 with a Service at 10 AM in Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox,35 Lake Parkway, burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Friday, March 9, 2012 from 5 to 8 PM (At the Church). A Trisagion Service will be Friday at 7 PM.
