Rita A. (Jusseaume) Dubreuil, 82, of Mattapoisett died on Monday April 5, 2004 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. She was the wife of the late Oscar N. Dubreuil, who sadly passed away on March 5, 2004; they were married for 59 years.
Born in New Bedford, the youngest of fifteen children of the late Joseph A. and Rosalie (Jusseaume) Jusseaume, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life before moving to Mattapoisett in 1954.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.
Mrs. Dubreuil was formerly employed by New Bedford Manufacturing for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Worker's Union and a charter member of the Wampanoag Camping Chapter. She loved camping and sewing.
"Meme" was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who always treasured spending time with her family. Her greatest joy was her family and they will miss her warm hugs and loving ways.
Survivors include a son, Leo G. Dubreuil of Wareham; a daughter, Cheryl J. Younghans, and her husband John, of Madison, Alabama; a sister, Doris Martin of New Bedford; four grandsons, Michael, Scott, Jason and Joshua; and two great-grandchildren.
She was the loving mother-in-law of the late Diane Dubreuil, and sister of the late Romeo Jusseaume, Claudia Jusseaume, Napolean Jusseaume, Blanche Jusseaume, Alice Jusseaume, Alfred Jusseaume, Normand Jusseaume, Paul Jusseaume, Claire Sansoucy, Olivine Metivier, Rose Tetreault and Aldea Dupont.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Friday April 9, 2004 at 9 AM.Funeral Liturgy and Final Commendation at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday April 8, 2004 from 5-8 PM. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. Burial in St. Anthony's Cemetery will be private.
