Mrs. Edythe M. Melanson – Edgett 83, passed away on Feb. 29 in Port Charlotte FL. Formerly of Tewksbury and Medford. Born July 20, 1928 in Somerville, daughter of the late Frederick and Margaret (Meuse) Goehring. Edythe lived in West Medford for many years where she raised her family. She later moved to Tewksbury. She taught ceramics and was the proprietor of a ceramics studio. She moved to Port Charlotte Fl. In 1995 where she was active in the sewing circle at Port Charlotte Cultural Center and the Game Day Girls of the Peace River Power Squadron. She is survived by her husband Edward J. Melanson, five children, Frederick Edgett and his wife Christine of East Boston, Robert B. Edgett and his wife Jackie of Haverhill, Rayna St. Clair of Ft. Myers FL, Sheri Edgett-Baron and her husband Frank of Bowie MD and Marc C. Edgett and his wife Susan of Groton. Grandmother of Kirk Edgett SSgt and Holli Edgett USAF, Troy Edgett, Robert Edgett II and Great Grandmother of Gabriel. Sister of the late Frederick Goehring, Great Grandmother of the late Kyle. Predeceased by her beloved first husband Robert W. Edgett. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home 306 Main Street MEDFORD on Wednesday March 7, at 9 AM followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St. Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
