Obituary

Kevin Frederick Sullivan, Sr., age 63, of Magnolia, TX, formerly of Winchester and Reading. died unexpectedly Feb. 29th in St. Petersburg, FL. He was the beloved husband of Arlene (Burditt) Sullivan. Born and raised and educated in Winchester, Kevin was the son of the late John and Marcia (Collins) Sullivan. As a child in Winchester, he played Winchester Youth Baseball and later was a member and Drum Major for the Queensmen Drum and Bugle Corps. In 1967, Mr. Sullivan enlisted in the Marine Corps. where he was awarded 3 Purple Hearts for his service in Vietnam. He was an employee of the Town of Winchester for 25 years, retiring in 2000. Mr. Sullivan also coached Reading Youth Baseball and served as a director for Reading Youth Hockey. He was a member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans and the Elks. In retirement, Kevin has been RV-ing with his wife for the past 2 1/2 years traveling throughout the country and enjoying a carefree lifestyle along with many friends. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Kimberly Sullivan-Mack and her husband Joseph Mack of Magnolia, TX and Kevin F. Sullivan Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Nashua, NH. He was the dear grandfather of Joseph, Logan, Braeden, Christopher and Kailyn. Brother of John Sullivan of Woburn, Marilyn Russo of Winchester, MaryLou Pedersen of Yarmouth and Elizabeth Donahoe of Wakefield, and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Visitation will be held in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester, on Sat. March 10th from 11-1PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers donations in Kevin’s memory may be made to the WoundedWarriorsProject.org.
