Antonio A. Pavao, 86, of New Bedford died Saturday March 3, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Maria J. (Cordeiro) Pavao.
Born in St. Michael, Azores, he lived in New Bedford for many years.
Mr. Pavao was formerly employed as a maintenance supervisor at the Blaire House until his retirement.
He served in the Portuguese Army.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Anna Maria Pavao; two grandchildren, Ann M. Thomas and Michael A. Thomas; and a great-granddaughter, Hannah M. Pittsley.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1 PM at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
