Robert "Limpy" Michel Gaulin 60, of Woonsocket, passed away Friday. He was the husband of Joan (Mitchell ) Gaulin.
Though he was a Woonsocket resident most of his life, he was born in Farnham, PQ, Canada, a son of Wilfred and Noella (Jacob) Gaulin . He was a US Navy veteran of the Viet Nam War.
He was a quality control inspector for Bird Machine in Walpole for eighteen years, as well as Plainville Machine for many years retiring in 1998.
"Limpy" was the President of Amvets Post 7 in Woonsocket, and was a member of UVC of Woonsocket, American Legion Post 62, Woonsocket, Canadian Legion Post 62, Quebec, and VVA 818, Lincoln.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two daughters; Jennifer Slade and Tina Gaulin, both of Woonsocket, two stepchildren; Carlene Watts of Woonsocket, and William Myhill of Bellingham, seven step grandchildren; Kayleigh and Joshua Myhill of NM, Robyn Myhill of Bellingham, Richard, Sean, and Nathyn Auclair of Woonsocket, and Nicholas Auclair of WV , and a great granddaughter; Emma Elizabeth Auclair also of WV.
Visiting hours and services will be Tuesday, 4-7PM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 So. Main St., Woonsocket. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Mental Health America, PO Box 16810, Alexandria, VA 22302.
