Obituary

Bradford Robert Scott, 56, of South Dartmouth died at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday March 1, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of Millie (Howland) Scott.
Born and raised in Freetown, he was the son of the late John and Marjorie (Reed) Scott. He was a member of Smith Neck Friends Meeting.
Brad was the owner and operator of Scotty & Sons in New Bedford. In his leisure time he enjoyed traveling to Florida with his family, spending time at the races with his brothers and friends, but most of all he just loved weekends when he could spend limitless hours laughing with his family and friends, especially Freestone's and tractor rides with his grandson Brody, whom he loved to the moon and back.
Survivors include the love of his life, Millie, three beloved sons, Bradford A. and his wife Nicole of New Bedford, Matthew T. and longtime girlfriend Sara Mercer-Medeiros, and Michael G. and longtime girlfriend Justine Rogazzo, all of South Dartmouth; his very special grandson Brody; two very special brothers, John "Jack" Scott and his wife Peggy, and David Scott and his wife Betty. He also leaves loving in-laws that include Debbie "LuLu" and Bill Reid, and Carol Lawrence, and his special Auntie Eleanor, as well as numerous very special nieces and nephews that include Christopher Bergeron, Jennifer Hughes, Jessica Medeiros, Melissa Kochan, Billy Reid, Melanie Abdelnour, Rachael Lawrence, Erica Pereira, Kim Freeborn, Jay and Bobby Scott, along with several other nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his goddaughter Meghan Feeney.
His Memorial Service will be held on Sunday March 11, 2012 at 11:30 AM at the Smith Neck Friends Meeting, Smith Neck Rd., South Dartmouth. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday March 4, 2012 from 2-6 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. in lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main St. #104, Natick, MA 01760.
