Donna Berry Byers, age 65, died Monday, February 27, 2012 at her home in Millington, TN. She was born September 2, 1946 in Water Valley, MS to the late Lester and Maureen Berry. Donna was a retired bookkeeper and owner of a tax preparation and accounting business. She enjoyed life and the fellowship of friends and family. Donna loved cooking, baking, playing card games and she had a great love for all animals. She attended First Baptist Church of Millington, TN.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. The funeral services will be held following the visitation at 2:00PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Sonny Simpson officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS with Joel Simpson, Stephen Cossey, Matt Cossey, Johnny Holloway, Brent Holloway, Jimmy Holloway and Mark Byers serving as pallbearers. Jim Morgan, Charlie Holloway, Bill Graham and E. W. Golden will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Donna is survived by her husband, George W. Byers of Millington, TN; a daughter, Collie Dykes (Drew) of Memphis, TN; a step-son, George Brandon Byers of Fayetteville, AR; two grandchildren, Megan and Hannah Byers; two nieces, Leslie and Lauren Holloway; and three nephews, Johnny Holloway, Brent Holloway and Wyatt Holloway.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Jerry Berry Holloway.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to First Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS.
