LOWELL—Adventino M. Bettencourt, 64 years old, died Friday evening at the Lowell General Hospital.
He was born in the Azores, on December 20, 1939, a son of the late Jose’ and Francelina (Isabel) Bettencourt. He came to the United States in 1970 and had been employed as a machine operator by Wang Laboratories, until illness forced his retirement.
Surviving her are two daughters: Regina Lino, of Lowell; and Deojenia Bettencourt, of Lowell; six grandchildren: Mark Lino, Kevin Lino, Erika Avedano; Justin Bettencourt; Deojenia Silva and Destiny Silva; a great granddaughter: Cylena Lino.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM on Tuesday, April 6th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Wednesday morning, April 7th, at 9 AM at ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
