Lota Pearl Rogers Boltrucyk, 84, of Tifton died Monday, February 27, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Gary Cadwell will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Boltrucyk was born on March 20, 1927 in Lake Park (Echols County) and was the daughter of Samuel B. Rogers and Oveida Chitty Rogers, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo C. Boltrucyk, who died February 22, 2008; one daughter, Holly Lefebvre; four brothers, Dalphus Rogers, Harley Rogers, Buddy Rogers and Charlie Rogers; and three sisters, Ruth Prine, Johnnie B. Goss and Willie Coggins. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Springfield, Massachusetts for 58 years. After moving to Tifton in 1980, she attended Brookfield Baptist Church in Brookfield.
Mrs. Boltrucyk was a tester in electronics with F. W. Sickles division of General Instrument Corporation in Chicopee, Massachusetts, retiring to Tifton in 1980 with her husband, Leo. She has been a member of the James W. Hannum Chapter of 150 Eastern Star since 1957. She enjoyed quilting and gardening and had lived in Tifton for the past 32 years.
Mrs. Boltrucyk is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Faith Lester and George Williams of Ayer, Massachusetts; three step-daughters and their husbands, Patricia Konopka of Colorado, Jean and Henry Bugden of Connecticut and Carol and Daniel Ross of Connecticut; two step-sons, Stanley Bolton of California and John Boltrucyk of Boulder, Colorado; two grandsons, Brian Lefebvre of South Hadley, Massachusetts and Kevin Lefebvre of Grantville; 12 step-grandchildren; and 17 step great-grandchildren.
