Sophie Daher, 93, of New Bedford died Saturday February 25, 2012 at Savoy Nursing Home.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Coury) Daher, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.
She was a member of the Lebanese-American Veterans Auxiliary. She had been an active bingo worker for her parish.
Survivors include her brother, Eugene Daher, her sister, Beatrice Howe, and her sister-in-law, Alice Daher, all of New Bedford; and nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late George Daher, Louis Daher, Peter Daher, Thomas Daher Jr., Joseph Daher, Josephine Roda, Mary Watkins, and Margaret Sylvia.
Her Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Purgatory Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
