Dearly loved father of Elizabeth (Andrew Shennan) of Dover, Alison (Stuart Munro) of Hudson, John III of Sunspot, NM, Lynne (Akbar Ali Herndon) of New York City, Peter (Lisa Shaftel) of Framingham, Brian (Stephanie Shell) of Ardmore, PA, Matthew (Dean Thorp) of San Diego, CA, and Joanna (Lisa Dady) of Providence, RI.
Beloved Papa to 13 grandchildren. Also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Henry Clancy of Princeton, NJ and brother-in-law Kevin Seth of MD as well as a large extended family. Pre-deceased by his sisters Mary Ann Haxton and Ella May Seth.
Proud graduate of Notre Dame and Tufts Medical School; trained at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and practiced medicine for 45 years in Needham. He died as he lived, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (RT. 16) WELLESLEY Tuesday at 9AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Wellesley at 10AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
