LOWELL—Deborah Lynne Bates, 34 years old, died in 1993, and was discovered on March 11, 2004, in Chelmsford.
She was born in Boston, on June 9, 1969, a daughter of Ethel S. (Bates) (Masson) Galan, and the late Joseph W. Bates. She attended Chelmsford and Lowell Schools.
Ms. Bates had been employed as a waitress at the Press Club, in Lowell and Mr. Tips, in Billerica, before her disappearance.
Surviving besides her mother are her son: Stephen Bates Galan, of Lowell; three brothers: Gerald Bates, of Toronto, Canada; Robert Bates, of Lowell, and John “Frankie” Bates, of Lowell; a sister: Bonnie Lee Masson, of Lowell; also several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts uncles cousins and friends.
She was the aunt of the John Tilton and Crystal Bates.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, April 5th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). Her Funeral Mass to be offered Tuesday morning, April 6th, at 9 AM at ST. ANTHONY’S CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in the Westlawn Cemetery, Lowell.
