TEWKSBURY - Mrs. Violet E. (Carter) Pimentel, L.P.N., age 81, a Tewksbury resident since 1950, died Tuesday February 21, at Saints Medical Center after a long period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Manuel Pimentel with whom she celebrated her 62nd wedding anniversary last April 23rd.
She was born in West Pembroke, Maine on August 23, 1930 the daughter of the late Lina Carter. She retired from Tewksbury Hospital where she had worked as an L.P.N., and was a communicant of St. William's Church in Tewksbury.
She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Carol LeBel of Lowell, three sons and daughters in law; Manuel and his wife Leslie (Erickson) Pimentel Jr. of Hudson, NH, Victor and his wife Ann Marie (Galiano) Pimentel of Tewksbury, Dennis and his wife Susan (McInery) Pimentel of Tewksbury; a brother, Henry Bennett of NH; sisters, Hilda Bailey of Davie, Fl. and Lina Murrey of So. Easton, MA; a sister-in-law, Alda Riccardo of Tewksbury; ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also mother-in-law of the late Neal LeBel; and sister of the late Donald Bennett, Keith Bennett, Delora Bennett, Mary Ellen Sears, and Barbara Haegele.
Her Funeral Service was held Saturday, February 25, in the Funeral Home. Burial followed in Tewksbury Cemetery.
