RUTH F. (WINQUIST) GILCOINE, age 85, a homemaker of Hingham, died on Friday, April 2nd at her home after a long illness. Mrs. Gilcoine, the last of 13 children, was born in Hingham and was a graduate of Hingham High School. She lived in both Quincy and Weymouth for many years before returning to Hingham 5 years ago.Wife of the late J. Joseph Gilcoine, she leaves two daughters; Sandra D. Nedder of Attleboro and Donna L. Patterson of Weymouth. Also survived by 4 grandchildren,5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Dennis M. Gilcoine.A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 6th at 11 AM at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel prior to the service from 10-11 AM.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the South Shore,P.O. Box 859060, Braintree, MA 02185-9060.Interment will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
