LEICESTER: Krikor S. Soojian, 87, of 1666 Main St., Leicester, died Sunday, Feb. 19 at Christopher House in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Marguerite I. “Greta” (Scott) Soojian, three sons Michael K. Soojian and his wife Sara, Paul K. Soojian, and Robert K. Soojian and his wife Rebecca all of Leicester, a sister Margaret Snyder and her husband Albert of Webster, nine grand children; Luke, Paul II, Katherine, Mark, Matthew, Joshua, Joseph, Samantha and Jessica all of Leicester, several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his twin brother Abraham Soojian and most recently his daughter in law Rhonda Soojian.
Mr. Soojian was a lifelong farmer and owner of Soojian Farm in Leicester for the past 63 years.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Sarkis and Veronica (Dasho) Soojian and was raised in Auburn. He graduated from Auburn High and later served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII, stationed in Okinawa. He was a member of the Cherry Valley American Legion Post 443 and the Armenian Church of the Martyrs.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m. in the Armenian Church of the Martyrs, 22 Ormond St., Worcester. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn with Military Honors. Calling hours at the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester are Tuesday, Feb. 21 from 3 to 6p.m.
