Anthony DiFilippo, a life long Medford resident and former teacher at Melrose High School ,died unexpectedly at home on Friday. He was 69.
The beloved son of the late Vincenzo and Vincenza “Jane” (Navarro) DiFilippo, Anthony lived in Medford for his entire life. He attended university and worked as a high school teacher.
The devoted brother of Carmine DiFilippo and his wife Carmela of Woburn, Jane Brosnan of Cal. and he late husband Cornelius, Maria DiFilippo of Medford he was a dear uncle to Vincent and Rosanna DiFilippo and Elizabeth, Michael and Sean Brosnan.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford, Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 - 8.
