Ethel C. (Balnis) Dickey, 88 of Sandown, NH died Thursday April 1, 2004 in the Integrated Health Services of Derry, NH. She was born in South Boston, MA on January 31, 1916 a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Verbiski) Balnis. She was married to Raymond Dickey from East Chelmsford, MA for 51 years prior to his death in 1991. She had resided for the past 17 years in Sandown. She was employed for Raytheon in Lowell, MA for 30 years, while she made her home in Tewksbury, MA.
She is survived by her son, Raymond “Bud” Dickey, Jr, and his wife Brenda of Londonderry, NH, two grandsons, Christopher Dickey of Londonderry, Todd Elliot of South Carolina presently serving in the Army, one granddaughter, Jessica Janice Dickey and her husband Martin Freiremuth of Portsmouth, NH, three great grandchildren, Erica, Erin and Riley Elliot all of South Carolina, also many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Janice (Dee) Elliot in 1970.
Friends may call on Sunday April 4th in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry from 2 - 4pm with service beginning at 4:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, 545 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
