Karen E. Sullivan, 45, of Serrel Sweet Road, died Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of David E. Sullivan.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Ursula R. (Herzig) Smith. She had been a lifelong resident of Johnston.
Karen was co-valedictorian of the Johnston High School Class of 1985 and held a degree in Elementary Education/Social Science from Rhode Island College. She was a member of Graniteville Baptist Church and a member of the Winsor Hill School PTO. She had also been a Girl Scout Leader.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children: Fiona U., Amelia H. and Declan E. Sullivan and her siblings: Michael E. Smith of Cranston, Monica E. Moone of Redfield, Iowa and Christine Smith Beaman of Greensboro, NC.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 10:00 AM in Graniteville Baptist Church, 82 Serrel Sweet Road, Johnston. Visitation Sunday 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Please omit flowers.
