Manuel B. Soares, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, MA, passed away on Tuesday March 30, 2004 after a lengthy illness in the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton,MA. He was 38 years old. He was the beloved son of Mr. Jose’ C. and Mrs. Alexandrina (Braga) Soares both of Stoughton.
Mr. Soares was born November 17, 1965 in Santa Maria, Azores.
He attended Stoughton Public Schools, and was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton.
He was a self-employed landscaper in the Stoughton community.
He loved fishing, playing pool, listening to rock music, playing pick-up football games and most of all ,playing his electric bass guitar.
Along with his parents, he is survived by his loving brother Daniel B. Soares of Stoughton and his niece Diane J. Soares also of Stoughton. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His funeral will be held on Saturday April 3, 2004 at 9:00 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton, followed by a mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Rt. 27, Stoughton at 10:15 A.M.The Rev. Fr. Felix Filho officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. Visiting Hours are on Friday April 2, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.
