Maria Eduarda Dos Reis, age 79 of Fall River, passed away Feb. 14, 2012 at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gilberto Dos Reis. Born in Ponta Delgada Fragzia de São Jose, Açores, she was the daughter of the late Jacinto & Ana Isabel Rodrigues. Prior to retiring in 1989, Mrs. Dos Reis worked for 20 years at Santoro Mfg. as a machine operator. She was a parishioner and member of the Hermandade Nossa Senhora at St. Michael Church.
She is survived by her children: Luis A. Reis, Maria Paula Amaral, Eduarda Maria Silvia, and Deborah Dos Reis all of Fall River; siblings: Manuel Jacinto Rodrigues of Canada, Ana Maria Cordeiro of Fall River, Dalia Oliveira of Canada, Gloria Mendoza of Westport, Isaura Mendonca of Canada, and Fernanda Reis of Fall River; grandchildren: Jennifer and Melissa Amaral, Megan Travis, Madison and Justin Reis, and Rebecca Silvia, and many nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Grace Medeiros and sister of the late Aldora Perry.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on FRIDAY at 10:00A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5:00-8:00 P.M.
