WORCESTER-James L. Worlds, 62, of 667 Main Street, died Wednesday, March 31st in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness. He leaves a daughter Ruth Worlds, 3 brothers Jerry L. Worlds of Worcester, Donald and Stanley J. Worlds both of Illinois, a sister Olivia Anderson of Illinois, his former wife Ruth (Brothers) Worlds and many nephews and nieces. A sister Dorothy Pickens died in 1990 and a sister Deloris Worlds died in 1993.
He was born in Vinenna, IL the son of Robert J. and Rosetta (Cooper) Worlds and moved to Worcester in 1973. Mr. Worlds worked as a race horse trainer for Bay State Raceway in Foxboro, retiring in 1973. Previously he worked as a race horse trainer in New York, Pennsylvania, Florida and California for many years. He was politically active, a member of the AARP and a hunting enthusiast.
