Jettie Mae Griffis, age 77, of Douglas, GA passed away on Monday, February 13, 2012, at Shady Acres following an extended illness. Mrs. Griffis was born on January 12, 1935, to the late Marvin and Hester Harper Vaughn.
Survivors include: her husband Rev. Glen Coleman Griffis, of Douglas, GA.; three sons, Lonnie Glen Griffis, Rev. Mark (Laura) Griffis, both of Douglas, GA, and Rev. Byron (Rachael) Griffis, of Colquitt, GA.; three brothers, Allen (Faye) Vaughn, of Douglas, GA, Rev. Joe (Marlene) Vaughn, of Wray, GA, and Rev. Glenn (Louise) Vaughn, of Andalusia, AL; seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded, in death by her sister Sue Sears.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012 from 6-9.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 11 :00 A.m. at the First Assembly of God with Rev. Marshall Adcock, Rev. Glen Vaughn, and Rev. Joe Vaughn officiating. Interment followed at Satilla Memorial Gardens. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
