Obituary

Donahue, Brian P. of Boxborough, February 9, 2012 at the age of 48. Survived by his loving daughter Kayleigh and her mother Cindy Miller of Leominster. Beloved son of Philip P. Donahue and Marion C. (O’Leary) Donahue of Marshfield. Devoted brother of Colleen Donahue of Worcester, Eileen Hartz and her husband Jeremy of Marshfield and Terryn Potter and her husband Thomas of Whitinsville. Dear uncle of Liam, Arianna and Aidan Hartz and James and Michael Potter. Brian is also survived by his many close cousins and friends.
Brian was born at Ft McPherson, Atlanta Georgia. In conjunction with his father's military assignments, he lived in Hawaii, Massachusetts and New Jersey during his early years. However, after those moves the family settled into Alexandria, VA where Brian graduated from Mount Vernon High School. His early interest in cars led him to his career in the automotive industry. His vast product knowledge, attractive manner, conversational and people skills served to make Brian a successful sales consultant for many years with the Colonial Automotive Group. He also was an active participant in the racing side of the business. Brian's other interests were primarily linked to his love of the sea which included fishing, surfing, jet skiing and beach time.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 16 from 3 to 7 at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St. rte. 139 Marshfield.
Brian's family and friends will gather at the Funeral Home on Friday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church 587 Ocean St. Marshfield at 11:00 a.m.
A reception will follow at the Fairview Inn.
In lieu of flowers contributions in Brian’s name may be made to P.K. O’Leary Scholarship Fund at Stonehill College 320 Washington St. Easton., MA 02357.
