Billy Ferrell Clark, 70, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at Life Care Center in Fitzgerald.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 15 at the Paulk Funeral home Chapel with Sister Charlotte Lawrence and Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mr. Clark was born July 29, 1941 in Opp, Alabama to the late Herschell Clark and the late Lovie Curby Hargis. He lived in Fitzgerald for the past thirty-eight years and was a former resident of Winter Haven, FL. Mr. Clark was a former truck driver for citrus groves in Florida and retired from Delphi in Fitzgerald. He was a veteran in the US Army and the Georgia National Guard, serving during the Vietnam War Era and in Korea. He was a member of the Baptist faith and an avid Hunter and NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Alice Clark of Fitzgerald; children, Mike & Stacey Clark of Davenport, FL, Donald & Valrie Clark of Lake Wales, FL, Lori & Paul Warren and Joel Hall all of Fitzgerald; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; brother, Lonnie & Helen Clark of Lake Alfred, FL. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Beck and stepfather, Charles Hargis.
