Obituary

Adele Rossi, 85 of Medford formerly of the West End of Boston died Tuesday after a brief illness in the Epoch Of Weston Nursing Home Weston, MA.

Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Paolina (Soldati) Favilla.

At the age of 3 years old her and her family moved back to Italy. During WW II Adele was with the Office of Strategic Services in Northern Italy and worked with the United States government to determine the movement and location of the Germany Troops in Milan. She meet her husband Oscar during this time and in 1947 she returned to the United States and lived in the West End of Boston until 1960. Adele was a Stitcher at the former Trimont Clothing in Boston’s garment district for many years. She also worked at Louie’s Clothing Store for many years and retired 10 years ago.

Beloved wife of Oscar Rossi. Devoted mother of Joseph Rossi and his wife Ann Louise of Newton. Loving grandmother of Loretta Cox and Elizabeth Morefield. Loving great grandmother of Emily Ann Cox, Timothy Joseph Cox, and David Joseph Morefield. Sister of the late Nino and Nando Favilla.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 9 AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Friday 4 - 8.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent in Adele’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
