Bruce W. Poirier,, 68, of Higgins Street, Smithfield, died Thursday at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the husband of Sharon (Brown) Poirier.
Born in Providence, RI, son of the late Leon and Lillian ( Lachapelle ) Poirier.
Mr Poirier was a security employee with Management Engineering before his retirement.
Also survived by his daughter, Michelle Poirier of North Providence, step-son, Robert G. Cardente Jr. of Glocester, and his sister, Sandra Poirier of Richmond, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be Tuesday at 10AM in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be private. Visitation Monday 4-7PM. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to Smithfield Fire/Rescue, 607 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, RI 02828
