Worcester - Frank T. Martin, 73, of Worcester, died Friday, February 10th in Umass Memorial Hospital with his loving family at his side. Frank was the beloved husband of Jacqueline D. (Brassard) Martin. Frank and Jackie were married on September 1st, 1962 and have enjoyed 49 years together.
Born on May 22, 1938, Frank was the son of the late Joseph and Louise (McCafferty) Martin. Frank was predeceased by his brother, Dr. Edward Martin. He leaves his sister, Marjorie Stone from South Paris, ME.
Frank began his strong and active life in the state of Maine. Frank was an athlete and graduated from Mexico High School in 1955, leaving a state track record to be only beaten by his own nephew decades later. Frank left Maine to continue his education in Rhode Island at Bryant College where he, not only graduated with a Business degree but, also met his loving wife Jackie.
Frank always said that he was nothing without his family. He was so very proud of his four children: Lisa, Robin, Eddy and Gina and his eight grandchildren. He leaves his daughter, Lisa J. Martin, wife of Michael Letourneau and their daughters Nicolette and Kristen; his daughter, Robin Longwell, wife of Art Longwell, and their sons Bobby and Nicholas; his son, Edward Martin, his expectant wife Marybeth Martin, and his son Tyler; and his daughter Dr. Gina Trachimowicz, wife of Timothy Trachimowicz, and their sons Andrew, Josh and Ryan.
Frank loved to attend all the school and athletic events of his grandchildren. They always knew that Grandpa would be there. Frank was a good friend to all. He was generous and giving. He was always there for his friends and family. He was the husband, the father, the grandfather, the uncle and the friend you could always count on. He was a family man and insisted on family parties for just about any occasion.
Frank didn't have many hobbies outside of his family but he was a true salesman and entrepreneur. He worked 23 years at Nabisco Confectionary and won several salesman awards. Frank was known as "the hardest working man in the business". He put his love of family and business together and built Martin's Wreath Company, a 35 year long standing business. When Frank took a minute to relax, he was found walking in the park, lounging by the pool or tending to his well-manicured lawn and gardens.
