Derry, New Hampshire – Civitina (Salipante) Gordon, 86, died Friday at the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry, NH.
Civitina was born in Somerville, Ma. and was the daughter of Antonio and Antoinette (Digiparie) Salipante.
For many years Civitina had been employed with a former Boston Landmark in the Sales Department at Filenes Basement.
A longtime Somerville resident she was a graduate of Somerville High School.
Civitina was known to be an active historian and was involved in the Auburn Historical Society.
The widow of Leslie Gordon survivors include one brother Alexander and his wife Eleanor Salipante, four nieces and nephews Anthony and his wife Ellen Salipante, Antoinette and her husband Jim Goyette, Mary Ruggiero, and Joanna Collins.
A Mass of Christian burial to which relatives and friends are invited will take place on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen and burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery in Stoneham, Ma.
There will be no calling hours.
