Marilyn “Joyce” Henderson Pitts, 63, died Friday, February 10, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Mark Stone will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date.
Mrs. Pitts was born on January 6, 1949 in Warren, Michigan and was the daughter of Doy T. Henderson of Tucson, Arizona and Nona Goodman Henderson Dove of Lakeland, Florida. She was a seamstress with Regency Cap & Gown and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by one sister.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pitts is survived by her husband, Barry Pitts of Enigma; one son, Michael Pitts of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Connie Isaac of Jacksonville, Florida; three brothers, Gary Henderson, Don Dove of Brookfield and Preston Dove of Albany; one sister, Jean Pitts of Lakeland, Florida; and two grandchildren, Samantha Pitts and Anthony Pitts, both of Woodbine.
