Patrick Thomas Hayden.Born January 25 1952.Son of Thomas J and Elizabeth A (Fleming) Hayden. Patrick passed away at Tufts Medical Center on February 9, 2012 surrounded by his family after a long battle with lung cancer. Patrick attended Lowell Schools graduating from Lowell High School Class of 1970. Patrick served in the United States Marine Corps from 1970 – 1973 serving in Vietnam and earning the Vietnam Service Medal. Patrick was involved in a horrific motorcycle accident shortly after discharge which left him permanently disabled. As a young boy growing up Patrick enjoy sports especially football and boxing. Patrick had a great sense of humor and loved being the life of the party and making people laugh. Patrick is survived by his brother Michael and his wife Debra (Tierney) Hayden of Lowell, a sister Brenda A Hayden of Lowell, and a brother Thomas J and his wife Colleen (Lowe) Hayden of Corinna Maine. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews Melissa Costa, Shawn Hayden, Timothy Hayden, Lucas Hayden, Erin Hayden , Shannon Hayden 3 great nieces and nephew Jackson Isabelle and McKenzie.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday Feb 18, 2012 at 9.30am at St. Margaret’s Church Our Lady of Lourdes Chapel (Lower Church) Stevens Street Lowell Mass. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Patrick’ s name to The American Cancer Society or The ½ Way to St Pats Scholarship Fund C/O 6 Courthouse Lane Unit 9 Chelmsford Mass 01824
