Obituary

Linda E. (Welch) Crossman, 52, of Hudson and Lancaster, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 5, 2012. She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Angela (Crossman) and Steven Mero of Boylston; her beloved granddaughter, Courtney Mero; 4 brothers, Steven Davidson, John Davidson, Arthur Davidson, and Timothy Davidson; 5 sisters, Judy Maglio, Christine "Anny" Gately, Dianne Pollock, Joanne Carey, and Jane Davidson as well as many nieces and nephews. A brother, William Davidson, predeceased her.

Linda was born in Boston, daughter of Rita (Havey) Gately and grew up in Hudson with parents John and Marion Welch. She proudly served in the US Army Reserves in Co. F, 3rd Battalion in Fort Dix, NJ and Co. C 187th SPC Battalion in Hingham, MA. Linda worked in transportation for the Commonwealth of MA as both a truck and bus driver. She enjoyed gardening and fishing, and in 1998 she became licensed as a private investigator.


Friends and family are invited to visit with the family at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester on Monday, February 13, from 5-7 p.m. A memorial service follows at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either Paralyzed Veterans of America by calling 1-800-555-9140 or at their website: www.supportveterans.org or to Growing Places Garden Project at www.GrowingPlaces.org.
