Obituary

Corrine M. (Clark) Heffernan, 88 years, of Brockton, died February 7, 2012 at the Brockton Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Franklin Heffernan. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Elery and Corrine (Lupien) Clark. Corrine was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1942. During WWII she worked at Eaton Shoe Factory and for over 30 years had been employed by the Brockton Public Market where she worked at the Lunch Counter and retired from Shaw’s Supermarket. Corrine was a strong, independent and caring woman who always cared for her family and friends first. She was also an avid reader and Red Sox fan; enjoyed bowling with her family, dancing, sewing and watching golf on television.

Corrine was the mother of Gary Heffernan and his wife Cynthia of Brockton, Mark Heffernan and his wife Nancy of Quincy and Nancy Boates and her husband Gary of East Bridgewater; grandmother of Jonathan, Kerri and her long time boyfriend Joe Freeman, Sarah Baker and her husband Sam, Ashley and Alex; great grandmother of Alyssa Freeman and sister of the late Kenneth Clark. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street,(Rte 123) Brockton, Friday 4-8pm. A Funeral Procession will gather at the funeral home on Saturday at 9am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish at 10am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
