Mrs. Rita R. Philbrook, “Dolly” age 82 of Medford died Tuesday in the Woburn Nursing Center Woburn. She was the wife of the late Gene Philbrook Sr.
Mrs. Philbrook was born in Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria (Bellizia) Anastasi.She was raised in Somerville and spent her early years there. Most of her life she was a Medford resident.
She was a very family minded woman who delighted in family get togethers. She was known as a great cook and a humble and warm woman. She took enormous pride in her grandchildren and great grandchild. She is survived by a daughter Deborah Michaud and her husband Ron of Tewksbury, a son Gene Philbrook Jr. and his wife Kerry of Billerica. Beloved grandmother of Danielle Newell, Christopher and Tori Philbrook. Great Grandmother of Lydia Newell. She was predeceased by
a sister, Petrina Clemens and a brother Anthony Anastasi.Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home 306 Main Street MEDFORD on Saturday at 9 AM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
