Matthew Henrik Green, 46, of Worcester and Shrewsbury, died suddenly on Sunday, February 5, 2012.
He leaves his loving wife of 23 years Maria (Razzano) Green, son Nicholas Green, father Roger Green and stepmother Wilda of Portsmouth, NH., grandfather Kenneth Nystrom of Worcester, brother Jeff Green and his wife Susan of Boxford, sister Beth and her husband Tim McGilvray of Bolton, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother Isabelle (Green) Nystrom and his maternal grandparents Holger and Mildred Carlson. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Joan (Carlson) Green. Raised in Shrewsbury, Matt was a graduate of Saint John's High School and Northeastern University. He was employed at EMC Corporation in Hopkinton. He was a member of Matthew John Whittall Lodge, A.F. & A.M. Matt especially loved hunting with friends in the crisp, fall air - during his youth, for partridge in local coverts and later on, for deer in the Maine woods.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, on Friday, February 10, from 5-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Saturday, February 11 at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be private in Mountain View Cemetery in Shrewsbury at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 73 Lancaster Street, Worcester MA 01609.
