Obituary

Fall River – Roland W. Greenhalgh, 87, of Westport died after a brief illness on March 30, 2004 at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was husband of the late Therese M. (Lefebvre) Greenhalgh.

He was born in Fall River, son of the late Isaac and Sarah (Webster) Greenhalgh, and resided in Westport for the past 50 years. He was employed as a machine operator by Stop & Shop in Canton, MA until his retirement. He had also worked for H.P Hood & Sons and Firestone Rubber in Fall River.

Mr. Greenhalgh was a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 59.

Survivors include 2 daughters: Joan A. Albanese and her husband William of Westport and Valerie F. Gray of Norton, MA; 3 sons: Jerald Greenhalgh and his wife Dorothy of Westport, Daniel Greenhalgh of Yulee, FL and Donald Greenhalgh and his wife Martha of Watertown, MA; 12 grandchildren: Michael and Corinne Greenhalgh, Mark and Kathleen Greenhalgh, Cheryl and Clint Swearingen, William and Phyllis Albanese, Jill Albanese, Jennifer and Paul Mulvey, Daniel Greenhalgh, Brian Greenhalgh, Tanya-Lee Greenhalgh, Sarah Greenhalgh, Kevin Greenhalgh and Jennifer Gray; 10 great-grandchildren: Ryan Greenhalgh, Hailey Greenhalgh, Camden Greenhalgh, Matthew Swearingen, Katelyn Albanese, Richard Perzentz., Maegan Perzentz, Nicholas Mulvey, Christopher Mulvey, and Harley Greenhalgh; and 3 nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend:

A graveside service on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Office of Development, St. Anne’s Hospital, 795 Middle Street, Fall River, MA 02721-9960.
