Luba J. Cioci, 88

Luba J. (Kolen) Cioci, 88, of Central Falls, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Monday February 6, 2012 at the Evergreen House Health Care in East Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late John Cioci who died on June 21, 2001.
Born in East Providence on April 26, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Simon and Adoleia (Rosin) Kolen.
Luba grew up and was educated in East Providence. She had also attended area schools for nursing. Prior to retiring, she had worked as a licensed practical nurse at various area nursing homes.
A member of the Russian Orthodox Church in Manville, Luba enjoyed spending time with her family and loved attending yard sales and flea markets.
She is survived by her devoted children William J. Cioci and his wife Sandra of Florida, Carol A. Tierney and her husband Robert, Jr. of Rehoboth and the late John F. Cioci. The dear sister of John Kolen of Arizona, she was pre-deceased by 5 siblings, and is also survived her cherished grandchildren; Colleen A. Tierney and Robert J. Tierney, III both of Rehoboth, as well as several great grandchildren.
Visitation, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Saturday February 11th from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St.(Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Private burial will be held at a later date in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
