Obituary

Gaumont, Audrey V. (MacLane) - 89, of Foxboro, beloved wife of the late Eli Gaumont passed away on February 5, 2012. Audrey lived in Foxboro for 57 years and was well known in the town, having designed the Foxboro Bicentennial logo and taught piano at her home and art for Foxboro Adult Education for over 20 years. She has a large painting hanging in the Boyden library which was done for the Bicentennial.

Audrey was an accomplished musician who played violin and piano. She was an organist at St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro during the 1960s and later organist at St. Roger & Mary’s Chapel in West Roxbury. She was a long time member of the Foxboro Art Association and the Taunton Art Association. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed painting, figure roller-skating, bird watching, and cooking, having won numerous awards for her painting and her baking.

She is survived by her two children, Ronald Gaumont of Burlington, MA and Sandra Gaumont of Pawtucket, RI and three grandchildren, Keith Gaumont of Hanoi, Vietnam, Damon Gaumont of Portland Oregon and Lissa Reynolds of Haverhill, MA and two great grandchildren.

Funeral from the P.E. Murray-George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St. West Roxbury, Thursday, Feb. 9th at 9:30 AM. A Tridentine High Requiem Mass will be offered at Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, 270 Elliot St. Newton at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday, Feb 8th from 4-8 PM. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
