Edmund K. Blake, 87, of 88 Masonic Home Rd., passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Overlook Masonic Home Healthcare Center.
He leaves his wife of 63 years; Elva E. (Maddix) Blake, two sons; Ronald Blake and his wife Dorothy Moore of Shirley and Steven Blake and his wife
Elaine of Sterling, three grandsons; Nathaniel, Phillip, and Peter, also his twin sister; Edwina Harriman and another sister; Elizabeth Bailey.
Mr. Blake was born in Princeton, Maine the son of Leon and Verna (Brown) Blake.
He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and served on the U.S.S. Pandemus in the Pacific.
Edmund worked for TRW Corporation for over 20 years and retired in 1984.
He was a member and Past Master of Corinthian Lodge, an active leader with the Boy Scouts and DeMolay all of Concord, a member of Nauset Lodge in Orleans, and Epac Grotto of Cape Cod.
Mr. Blake enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. His other interests and hobbies were coin collecting and lighthouses and wooden elephant carvings.
There are No calling hours.
Funeral Services and burial will be Private in the Massachusetts National Veterans Cemetery in Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, the Family would like everyone to “Thank A Veteran for Serving”.
