SALEM - Jean Marie Calloway, 55 of Salem, passed away peacefully on February, 2nd 2012 after a brief illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of Althea (Ziencina) Calloway of Cullman, Alabama and the late Edward Calloway.
Jean was a friendly and kind person with a wonderful sense of humor. She was well loved by all who knew her, including her long-time housemates of 136 Federal Street, Salem, many of the Bridgewell community including Melrose Day Habilitation and her long-time friend and guardian Kathy Marques of North reading.
Besides her mother Jean is survived by one sister Cindy Maynard of Birmingham, AL, one brother Robert Calloway and wife Joan of Harvest, AL, one niece Jacqueline Maynard and two nephews Jesse Maynard and Ryan Calloway. In addition to her father, Jean was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Eva Mae Calloway and William and Hedwig (Siemontkowski) Ziencina.
Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1:30 pm in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from Noon until the start of the service at 1:30 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
