Willie Charles Buck, age 59, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born in Yalobusha County,MS on December 20, 1952 to Clister Hervey and the late Harmon Buck. Willie worked for many years in the construction industry and he always enjoyed visiting with his family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 11:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Rev. Cleve Alexander and Rev. Greg Henderson officiating. Burial will be in the Union Hill CME Church Cemetery with Bobby G. Hervey, Jermaine Gooch, Sherman Gooch, Mark Gooch, S.T. White and Fred Campbell serving as pallbearers.
Willie is survived by his wife, Janie Lou Morgan Buck of Water Valley, MS; five sons, Derrick Morgan of Oxford, MS, James Morgan, Gregory Buck (Lacey) and Marvin Buck all of Water Valley, MS and Bobby Morgan of New Orleans, LA; eight sisters, Sandra Harris (Levo), Bennie Woodard, Shirley Pomerlee (Joe), Sarah Houston, Rosie Morgan, Mary Pomerlee and Eva Harris (Sherman) all of Water Valley, MS, and Betty Daniels (Bryan) of Southaven, MS; his mother, Clister Hervey of Water Valley, MS; and numerous grandchildren.
In addition to his father, Harmon Buck, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Eddie Caldwell.
