Manchester– Richard E. McPate, 91 died February 2, 2012 at Catholic Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Manchester on January 27, 1921 the son of Richard J. and Lillian (Normand) McPate.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Before his retirement he had worked for Chester Neuman Co.
He held membership in the VFW of Melrose MA. Post 2394.
He was predeceased by his first wife of 60 years, Rita, his son Richard J. McPate, and his granddaughter Debra Hedin.
He leaves his wife of 13 years, Theresa (Migneault) McPate of Manchester, his daughters; Carol Hedin and Diane McPate, his son; Robert McPate and his wife Anne-Marie, his step daughter Linda Harrington and her husband Steven, his step son Thomas Cariker and his wife Susan, 4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held in the spring at NH Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen.
