Tabita (Assi) Saadi, 103, of New Bedford died Friday February 3, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Tannous T. Saadi.
Born in Hosrayel, Lebanon, the daughter of the late Najem and Wardiyeh Assi, she lived in New Bedford since 1989.
Survivors include nine children, Ann Saadi, Milia Najem, Saadah Saadi, Leila Assi, Ghleb Saadi, John Saadi, Saadi Saadi, Houda Saadi, and Mona Sadaka; her siblings, Assi Assi, Said Assi, Badre Assi, Nabiha Boulos, and John Assi; 37 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Rosamel Ibrahim, Jacob Saadi, and Joseph Saadi, and sister of the late Toufic Assi, Mariam Assi, and Christine Ibrahim.
Her visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 5, 2012 from 12-6 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Funeral Services and burial will be held in Hassarat, Lebanon.
