Obituary

Haverhill, MA – Aubery A. “Stewie” Stewart, Jr., just 20 days shy of his 93rd birthday, died peacefully Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Haverhill Crossing Senior Living with his loving family by his side.

For 60 loving years, Aubery resided with his late wife, Marjorie, in both Andover and Methuen. He was born in Brockton, MA on February 21, 1919. He was the son of the late Aubrey A. and Anna (Watts) Stewart.

Aubery graduated from Brockton High School. He received his associate’s degree from Bentley College. He worked as a branch manager for 27 years at First Essex Savings Bank in Lawrence until his retirement in 1986. He was a member of West Parish Church in Andover for 55 years, a former treasurer of the Rocketeers Square Dance Group, on the Board of Directors for The Summit of Four Seasons Association of Lake Winnipesaukee, and an Honorary Member of the New England Safe Deposit Association, where he served as Treasurer for ten years. In his spare moments, he loved playing the piano or organ. His greatest legacy, however, is his family, whom he loved deeply.

He leaves behind his three daughters, Sandra Arnold and her husband Robert of Methuen, Karen Ordzie and her husband Christopher of Methuen, Janice Musen and her husband Kenneth of North Haven, CT, and six grandchildren Laura Arnold Zappala of Methuen, Deborah Rice of Nevada, Kurt Bergeron of Salem, NH, Keri Bergeron of Colorado, Erica Musen Sanborn and Lindsey Musen both of Connecticut, and two great grandchildren, Jayden Rice and Tyler Bergeron.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11 o’clock at West Parish Church in Andover with burial to follow in the adjacent West Parish Cemetery.

Friends will be warmly received on Monday from 9 - 10 A.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to the West Parish Church Music Fund, 129 Reservation Road, Andover, MA 01810.
