
Judith A. “Judy” Pento, 56, of Derry, NH died unexpectedly Saturday January 21, 2012 at her home with her family. She was born on February 11, 1955 in Malden, MA a daughter of the late Edward C. and Ethel (Ollis) McGowen. Judy was employed as a teacher for Seacoast Career School where she stepped down from her position in Administration to be more involved with the students she cared for so much. She also worked in the medical field for a period of time, working at Dr. Gogjian’s Office in Andover, MA and the Health stop Walk-in Clinic in Medford, MA. Judy loved the ocean, taking trips to the beach and watching the seagulls. She also enjoyed arts and crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Paul P. Pento of Woburn, MA; two sons, Brian McGowen and David Pento, both of Derry; two step-children, Paul Pento Jr. and his wife Laura, and Renee Pento; three grandchildren, Brian McGowen Jr., John McGowen and Scotty McGowen; one sister, Jane Watson and her husband Larry; one brother, Edward McGowen and his wife Henriette; her niece and godchild, Jill Lazzaro and her husband Steve; and one nephew, Garett Watson.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Friday, February 3rd from 6 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Heart Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220.
